MATERIALS COMBINATION #3 – HÄCKER SYSTEMAT

Revisiting German design powerhouse Häcker for our next portfolio blog, we focus this time on their pioneering kitchen collection – systemat. Our design spotlight here centres around the systemat AV6000, a stylish, modern and incredibly practical collection that combines warm wood tones with lighter natural accents to create perfect elegance.
The Häcker systemat AV 6000 focuses on functionality and practicality – underlined by features such as a railing system with universal add-ons and LED lights, which is mounted at an ergonomic height above the sink – while balancing elegant wood tones for contemporary style. The tall cabinet offers plenty of storage space and is a real visual highlight. The handleless fronts open at the touch of a finger without leaving any trace and the ergonomically designed height ensures an optimal workflow. The organic palette is firmly established here in both Grey Beige and Polar White.
Once more, we return to Caestarstone’s Metropolitan collection for an authentic industrialised concrete texture for our counter surfaces. This Cloud Burst Concrete selection has textural depth and movement and blends seamlessly into the design aesthetic.
The ideal foil to the concrete robustness of the Caesarstone come from the Spekva wooden worktops, selected in Rustique Oak, treated perfectly with the chalky tones of White Oil. This provides a stylish combination of trusted, durable, and hard-wearing oak with the organic palette of these natural elements.
Buster & Punch create incredible metalwork for all manner of design briefs, but here we have selected their beautiful closet bars in Smoked Bronze to work effortlessly in tandem with the Häcker units. This closet bar comes complete with small smoked bronze discs and is refined by hand, featuring their signature, diamond-cut, cross-knurl pattern. The bronze highlights add luxury in contrast with the neutral elements of this design – a visual style that is echoed by the always excellent Quooker Fusion tap in Patinated Bronze.
The Bora Pure X cooker top and extractor is the perfect appliance, boasting an extra-wide cooktop and surface induction. This highly elegant, minimalist compact system with its innovative Control touch controls is flush-mounted, extremely quiet, and extremely intuitive.
The full portfolio is elegantly rounded out with beautiful Astro Versailles light fittings and flooring from British specialists Havwoods in their Venture Plank series in European Oak/Blanco. Finally finishing touches come from our favourite Danish furniture design titan Carl Hansen, with their signature Wishbone chairs in Oak Soap.
This kitchen design is definitively a new classic. Light and organic with chalky whites, natural oak, and soft stone textures – not to mention pure luxury from the metallic bronze touches.
