A home from home….

A recent favourite project centred around a steading building and our brief was to create a warm contemporary space in our clients’ home from home.
Our approach was to take the original living space and convert it into a kitchen, whilst maximising use of the gorgeous view of the walled garden.
We decided immediately to use the uniquely engineered bulthaup b3 kitchen in graphite lacquer as the main focus for this kitchen. Complimenting the graphite finish, we added bespoke oak detailing in the form of shelf and plate rack, making the design both unique to our clients, and adding an elegant and slightly more traditional finish.
For the worktops and sink we selected Corian in Cameo White, ensuring a durable, easy to clean, non-porous work surface that effortlessly integrates into the full kitchen design, along with the Bora full surface induction hob & integrated extraction.
The appliances were selected from the Gaggenau 200 series to integrate into the contemporary kitchen. Gaggenau specialise in functionality and versatility and this elegant series of appliances works in perfect partnership with the bulthaup b3. We chose anthracite for the Gaggenau appliances to complement the colour of the kitchen
The bulthaup c2 table offered a traditionally crafted yet precisely finished centrepiece for the room and we used the bulthaup wall-hung bench in oak to create more space taking the table to one side allowing for passing space into the narrow room. Instantly recognisable by their characteristic back rests, the Carl Hansen Elbow chairs compliment the bench and are responsibly sourced, beautifully crafted modern classics.
We designed the long black light in conjunction with Solus Solutions to help accentuate the length of the room and to contrast against the white ceiling.
We also custom-designed the unique corner fire element which connects the kitchen to the dining space, maintains a farmhouse vibe and pulls the project together. Our clients were especially pleased with this addition to the build.
Our clients spend a great deal of time in this space and were clear upon the brief from the outset – create a home within their home. A concept in which we specialise here at Cameron Interiors.
